Mains
disadvantages with other solutions.
DHTML menus often have browser compatibility problems.
Your menu may work on IE but not on other browsers. Sometimes,
the menus can look different in different browsers! There’s
no guarantee that all the effects will work. In general,
DHTML menus occupy more memory and hence take more time
to load. Also, if there’s a new browser version,
the menu may not work!
With
Java menus, the user must download the right JDK (+ 8
Mb) and yet this may not always be compatible.
Of
course, Flash Menu Builder menus have none of these issues.
They work equally well on all browsers. And even the most
complex menu occupies less than 30Kb!
