WORK WITH TOOLBARS

In the User interface section we examined the toolbars question. To choose your necessary option it is needed to click on the necessary key or component. If the key is grey, it is not activated. The function key, which is used in this situation, activates only. To know the function of that or other key, it is necessary to do the following:

  • to move the mouse pointer to the function key. A popup hint will appear with the name of key or function (see picture);
  • to press <F1> to call a help about the program. By program help you will be able to know about this key or function.

By default all panels are represented in the Flash Builder window at first. If you consider that you do not need them, hide them, to multiply working space on the screen. If needed you can add a necessary panel (some of them appear themselves). To add or hide a panel, do the following:

  • open the Window menu and select the Tool Windows section. The popup menu will appear;
  • a mark as a checkbox opposite your necessary panel symbolizes that this panel will be represented on the screen. To clean or put a mark just click on a panel name which interests you.

After you represented all the needed panels it is necessary comfortably to dispose them on the screen. On the picture shown Flash Builder with panels, located in different parts of the screen.

For panel moving do the following:

  • click on the mark of panel moving (if a panel is located in the middle of window, click on its header);
  • retaining the mouse button by pressed, move a panel to the needed place. You can move it to the end of window (to tie) or dispose in its middle (to leave by "floating").
